How the ad copy scanner works
Last updated: August 16, 2026
What does the scanner check for?
The scanner runs your copy against 65 risk detectors organized into claim language, personal wording, platform safety, restricted categories, and narrative patterns. Each detector is a phrase or semantic structure that correlates with higher review risk on one or more of the 10 platform profiles: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, OpenAI Ads, X, Reddit, Etsy, CTV, and Broadcast. Every flag includes a severity level and, when a responsible alternative exists, a lower-risk wording suggestion.
How should I interpret the Compliance Risk score?
Compliance Risk is a directional indicator, not a pass/fail verdict. Higher numbers mean more detected risk language. The score reflects the highest-confidence signal found in your copy, with a bounded upward adjustment when multiple independent high-risk signals appear together. It does not predict whether a platform will approve or reject your ad — enforcement decisions are made independently by each platform and can change without notice.
What does Optimus Pass not guarantee?
No ad compliance checker can guarantee approval. Optimus Pass surfaces wording that may need review based on published platform policies and observed enforcement signals. It is not legal advice, it is not affiliated with any advertising platform, and it cannot account for account-specific history, region, or new policy changes. Use the output as a pre-submission review aid alongside your own judgment.
Where does the detector data come from?
Detectors are built from published platform advertising policies, confirmed enforcement signals from advertiser reports and appeals, regulatory guidance, and pattern analysis of rejected versus approved copy. See the full detail in the methodology page.
